Ministry Partnership Opportunities with Bridge of Hope
There are many, even dozens of ways to develop a relationship with the Bridge of Hope Ministry, below are some of the most common ways churches and individuals within churches can engage. Is God leading you regarding a possible relationship with Bridge of Hope of York County? We encourage you and join with you in praying as a leadership team and/or congregation about the many ideas/options below and respond according to His will. We would be delighted to help lead this process or answer any questions you have as you seek God’s will in this matter.
Make Bridge of Hope a central focus of your congregation’s prayers. Challenge your congregation to pray regularly for Bridge of Hope and homeless mom’s and their kids in York County
Host a Bridge of Hope Night
Host a Bridge of Hope Night once a year and encourage members to host Bridge of Hope Gatherings in their church. Provide a meal, provide childcare. For more information click the contact us tab.
Encourage members to volunteer for seasonal projects, events, office work, as needs are made known by Bridge of Hope. Consider recommending a church or staff member for a position on Bridge of Hope’s Board of Directors.
Commit to a periodic or special offering to support Bridge of Hope. Some churches designate their Christmas or Easter offering, while others commit to a monthly amount.
Plan regular offerings or other frequent giving opportunities or events with the goal of raising $5000 or more per year for this ministry
Adopt a family for $7,500.00, their rental assistance for one year OR $15,000, Bridge of Hope’s total cost to assist a family for one year. (Actual amounts range from $15,000 to $20,000)
Include Bridge of Hope in the church missions budget
Direct Contact Ministry
Form a mentoring group within the church to become friends, family, and support network for a Bridge of Hope mom and her family through the two year program and beyond.
Donate a former parish house/apt to Bridge of Hope to use for our families for a period of 24 months, rent free.
Form a group to do a short term project to benefit homeless mothers and children. Small Groups, Youth Groups, VBS groups, missions groups are all welcome to explore the many options.
