Our New Year’s Resolution for 2015!

Our resolution for 2015 is to continue to help end homelessness for single mothers and their families.  We currently have two mothers and their families in our program.  Our goal is to have six mothers in our program by the end of 2015!  We have a mentoring group from York Alliance Church committed to mentoring relationship with a new mom in March.  Helen, our Family Resource Coordinator, has started interviewing prospective moms for this mentoring group.  We are well on our way to our goal!  If you are interested in providing a mentoring group, please contact us at 717.747.9675!

Reflecting back on Bridge of Hope of York County in 2014

It was an exciting year for Bridge of Hope of York County.  In June, we hired a new Family Resource Coordinator, Helen Aderholdt.  In August, we accepted two new single mothers into our program and in October they were matched with mentor groups from ActionChurch and LCBC York.

God is working through Bridge of Hope of York County.  In just a few months, the mothers have acquired housing, employment and vehicles and are working toward college degrees.  Because of your generous support, Bridge of Hope of York county is able to provide rental assistance and professional case management to support these mothers as they work to achieve their goals and improve their lives.

It is with great joy that we say Thank You!  Serving single mothers facing homelessness is not easy work, it takes a lot of prayers, support and resources.  Bridge of Hope of York County is grateful to all of you who have stepped in to serve these mothers and their families through your generosity, prayers and hard work!!
